It is advisable to empty and clean the grease trap after each use. The grease trap should only be used when the hob is cold.

There are two ways to clean the hob:

HOT: you've just finished cooking and your griddle is still hot, so take the opportunity to clean it. Your cooking spatula and stainless steel ball are the ideal tools for removing cooking residues. Pour water directly onto your griddle and rub with your stainless steel ball to release the excess into your grease trap. Use the spatula to handle the stainless steel ball to avoid burning yourself. Keep an eye on how full your tray is. You can repeat the operation as often as necessary. You can re-light your griddle at any time if your cleaning is not as effective as you would like.
COLD: using your damp sponge, apply the cleaning stone directly to your griddle using circular movements, or use Plancha Net and leave to work. Rinse with your sponge. You can repeat the operation as often as necessary. Finish your cleaning with your microfibre cloth to restore the shine to your griddle...

If your plancha is going to be out of use for a long time, we recommend storing it in a dry place away from bad weather.
